In this table, 2N5041 is the most suitable substitute, and its parameters are fully compatible with TIP142. When using MJE2955T as a replacement, it should be noted that the voltage should not exceed the maximum voltage of MJE2955T, 60 V. When using S8550, BD139 as a replacement, it is necessary to see whether the voltage, current and power in the actual circuit are greater than the maximum parameter, and when replacing it with TIP32C, it is not possible to look at the parameter only, because TIP32 is a PNP transistor, and the polarity is different from that of TIP142, so it is necessary to modify the circuit before replacing it.
